Community Libraries for Children

The Mbife Foundation is opening the Mbife Libraries, which will stock a wide range of books promoting inclusive  and diverse literature to develop children’s wellbeing and love of reading.

Our libraries will ensure that children will be able to enjoy stories and books that stimulate their creativity and language abilities.

Through the Libraries, children will be accessing books that encourage broader social cultural perspectives such as feminism, building communities, the important socio-emotional skills among others.  The libraries will also feature books with strong female protagonists and at the heart of it all the African diasporan experience will be celebrated.

Mbife opens it’s first Children’s Library
